Cabo de las Huertas, a place where the sun melts into the sea
February 26, 2015

El Cabo de las Huertas is a never-ending-summer place located in the North of Costa Blanca, boasting over 300 days of sunlight per year. It is both a cape splitting Alicante’s coastline into two different parts, the sought-after San Juan Beach, and a district part of Alicante. A former grove area, hence its name, which has turned into a well-liked residential area fringed by a stunning stretch of coastline made up of little sandy beaches and unspoilt coves yet to be discovered.Let’s start this trip taking a stroll down the well-maintained parks and green areas such as the one at Historiador Vicente Ramos Avenue or Avenida Miriam Blasco Avenue. They are ideal for family outings, dog walks and for practising outdoor sports. After this relaxing walk, what about heading to any of its amazing coves and small beaches? They are perfect to lay back, top up your tan and unwind while listening to the pleasant sound of the sea lapping gently against the shore. A placid atmosphere away from the crowded beaches where you won’t have any problem to find a spot to spread your towel on. So, sit down on the seashore and stare at the landscapes of incomparable beauty silhouetted over the sea Costa Blanca offers. Cala de los Judíos, Cala Cantalares and Cala de la Palmera are the most outstanding coves to be found in El Cabo. Their crystal-clear water and rocky sea bed make them a truly haven for water sports enthusiasts.

Thus, all manner of sea-orientated sports can be pursed, ranging from surfing or rowing to snorkelling and diving. The underwater splendour of El Cabo de las Huertas’ coast is well worth the hype. Both the sunrise and sunset are a serene and captivating spectacle not to be missed, especially if you are a keen photographer 😉 At this stage, we know you are amazed by the beauty of this overwhelming sights, but we need to continue our visit. Last stop, the urban area, a network of streets bubbling with a wide range of retail complexes, cafés, bars and restaurants serving both local culinary delights and many international dishes, as well as all sorts of amenities and leisure facilities you could wish for.

All in all, El Cabo de las Huertas is an oasis of rest and calm in the midst of a setting bustling with tourists. A haven in a perfect symbiosis with nature where some of the most beautiful snapshots to be found on Costa Blanca can be taken…
