The coves of Mallorca are unequalled. They have achieved international fame for a reason and the island is known as an earthly paradise by people from all over the world. Stunning crystal clear waters, Mediterranean vegetation and cliffs that form a landscape that almost seems to be created with artificial intelligence. Mallorca’s coves are real gems <\/strong>worth exploring and enjoying. Here are some of the most spectacular ones. Enjoy them!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mallorca’s coves: the ones you cannot miss<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

There are so many, they are all beautiful and it is difficult to choose. But if we had to choose just six, these would be our favourite coves in Mallorca.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mondrag\u00f3 Cove<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In the southeast of the island is the Mondrag\u00f3 Natural Park, a nature reserve of great ecological value and with a rugged coastline that gives rise to hidden coves such as the Mondrag\u00f3 cove, one of the most famous in Mallorca. It is an unspoilt cove protected from construction<\/strong> and tourism thanks to its status as a nature reserve, which means that it is always clean and perfectly preserves its spectacular beauty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Surrounded by cliffs and the characteristic pine groves of the island, it offers areas for shade and strolling, and its calm, clear waters are great for discovering the seabed while snorkelling. It also has a restaurant, parasols and sun loungers, so you can spend as much time as you want in this paradise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Agulla Cove<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Also in a Natural Park, this time the Llevant Peninsula, Cala Agulla is always on the list of the most desirable coves in Mallorca<\/strong>. The views – on clear days you can see the silhouette of Menorca – will stay in your memory forever, as will its sand, which even gives off a pinkish glow. With a length of 525 metres and a valuable set of dunes and vegetation, it is prepared so that visitors have all the comforts and services they need, such as sun loungers, sunshades, lifeguards and so on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Varques Cove<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

For those who are not afraid to venture off the beaten track in search of hidden nooks and crannies, Cala Varques is your best bet. This cove is an unspoilt treasure<\/strong> that is reached after a walk of about half an hour through a forest and over a hill, but it is well worth it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unfrequented, with no buildings, beach bars or anything to alter its natural state, it has everything you would expect from a paradisiacal beach: white sands, crystal-clear waters and imposing cliffs. In addition, the stalactites and stalagmites of the Cuevas del Pirata, the Cueva del Xot and the Cueva del Pont delight the most curious, as well as the Cova des Coloms, accessible only from the sea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dei\u00e0 Cove<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In the picturesque town of Dei\u00e0, in the northwest of the island, is Cala Dei\u00e0, a cove that offers a quite different setting from others, as its surface is made of pebbles and it is part of the Tramuntana mountain range, which gives it a mountainous landscape. But this does not make it any worse. On the contrary, it is one of the best coves in Mallorca and stands out for its bohemian atmosphere<\/strong>. It is not in vain that this area inspired great artists such as Robert Graves. In the surroundings of Cala Dei\u00e0 there are terraces and restaurants with breathtaking views, not to be missed!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mesquida Cove<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Cala Mesquida is very special. Its fine white sand dunes are unparalleled, and you can enjoy two different landscapes in the same cove. At its right end, these dunes extend into a dense pine forest<\/strong>, all crowned by an ancient watchtower. The left end is urbanised, so the image is quite different. Even so, Cala Mesquida retains its unspoilt character and has managed to combine the needs of visitors with respect for nature. Thanks to its 300-metre length, although it is very crowded in summer, it is easy to find a spot and there are no crowds. Its waters are shallow and calm, so make the most of it for water sports and snorkelling!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Romantic Cove<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
\"Mallorca<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

This beautiful name is also known as the cove of S’Estany d’en Mas, one of the best coves in the east of the island, belonging to the town of Manacor and very close to the well-known Porto Cristo. Although some residential buildings have been built in the area, the cove preserves its natural and wild attraction<\/strong>, with a tongue of water running into the rocks and forming a refuge for bathers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Surrounded by cliffs with Mediterranean pine trees, it is just over 150 metres long and has services such as sun loungers, parasols and a restaurant on the seafront. In addition, in less than 10 minutes by car you can explore all the coves in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
