Here are some of our favourites, so you can start planning your summer. \ud83c\udfd6<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Because the good life is best lived near the sea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Blue Flag beaches in the Valencian Community<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Blue Flag beaches of the Valencian Community are known for their calm, clean, blue waters and large areas of fine, golden sand. Alicante, Valencia and Castell\u00f3n add up to 518 km of coastline. Makes it hard to choose, doesn&#8217;t it?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The good thing is that, no matter which beach you choose, you are bound to get it right. \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Blue Flag beaches in Alicante<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Many of the best beaches in the Valencian Community are in the province of Alicante, which has received a total of 74 Blue Flag awards in 2021. It is the province of the Valencian Community with the most awards of this type, and also the first in the country. So we could spend a lifetime touring its beaches. But today we have chosen these:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Les Deveses, Denia. <\/strong>This beach is three kilometres long and is the furthest away from the town centre of Denia, thus fully preserving its natural essence. There is also a windsurfing school!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Cap Blanch, Altea.<\/strong> The most impressive thing is its waters, which look as if they were made of glass. You can choose between fine gravel and pebbles, and it never gets too crowded. Here at Sonneil we have a soft spot for Altea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>La Fossa beach, Calpe.<\/strong> This beach is famous for the quality of its sand and the calmness of its waters. Its short length of just one kilometre makes it very comfortable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Sant Joan Beach, San Juan. <\/strong>This is Alicante&#8217;s beach of choice, full of life, covering an area of seven kilometres! Beach volleyball, football goals, water sports&#8230; There is no such thing as boredom on this beach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Poniente Beach, Benidorm. <\/strong>The most peaceful beach in Benidorm, and the longest, stretching for more than 3 km. And it has everything you could ask for from a beach: clean waters, a promenade, a reading area, floating platforms, children&#8217;s play areas&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Blue Flag beaches in Valencia<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2021 there are 32 Blue Flag beaches in Valencia, spread along its 135 kilometres of coastline. Here are our top 3:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Rac\u00f3 de Mar, Canet de Berenguer.<\/strong> Sand dunes, environmental value, 1250 metres long, fine sand&#8230; This beach has been chosen by the followers of Antena 3 Noticias as the best beach in Spain for two consecutive years. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sonneil.com\/blog\/en\/canet-de-berenguer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><u>Find out more about Canet de Berenguer here.<\/u><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Port de Sagunt, Sagunto.<\/strong> A very popular beach both for tourists and locals alike. Its fine sand, dunes and reed beds make it a real natural haven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>El Saler, Valencia.<\/strong> This is a very special beach, because it is in the heart of the Albufera Natural Park of Valencia, so it is perfect to find peace and quiet surrounded by nature, very well protected and preserved!<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Blue Flag beaches in Castell\u00f3n<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With 31 Blue Flag beaches, Castell\u00f3n is not far behind. As the least known of the Valencian provinces, its 120 kilometres of coastline with marvellous beaches and coves give it an extra sense of tranquillity. Such as these:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>L&#8217;Arenal, Burriana.<\/strong> Located to the north of the port of Burriana, it is an ideal beach for water sports and for enjoying the Mediterranean coast at its best: 1,000 metres long, vegetation, calm waters and golden sand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Voramar, Benicasim. <\/strong>This is one of the quietest beaches in the area, with a promenade along the early 20th century villas that made Benicasim famous.
