Which are the best areas to live in Benalmádena?

Downtown Benalmádena
In the highest point we find downtown Benalmádena, the most authentic part of town. It is a typical Andalusian town of small white houses and steep streets decorated with plants that create a very charming setting. Situated three hundred metres above sea level, its viewpoints offer stunning views of the coastline.
In one of the most privileged urbanizations of Benalmádena are the apartments with sea views Habitat Valle Romano, modern homes in a private urbanization with common areas: swimming pool, solarium and large gardens where you can relax.

- Hacienda Torrequebrada. This area also has essential services such as supermarkets and restaurants with beautiful views of the sea. It is a quiet area where buildings are mixed with apartments, semi-detached and detached houses.
- Nueva Torrequebrada. This residential area is dominated by apartment buildings. It has restaurants and a small shopping centre. It is also close to the coast and its beautiful beaches.
Torremuelle
This residential area is situated by the sea and is named after the Torremuelle watchtower. It has numerous beaches, such as Torremuelle and Arroyo Hondo. Torremuelle borders downtown Benalmádena, and is one of the largest and most populated areas in town. It offers all kinds of leisure services, green areas, shopping and even sports facilities, as it has numerous paddle and tennis courts. It is very well connected, as it has a train station, and one of its main features is the Lagar stream that runs through it.
Retamar & La Capellanía
This is one of the most exclusive areas of Benalmádena and is very close to all services, leisure areas and schools. It is in a prime location, with unbeatable views of the sea, and the privacy and comfort offered by this residential area is one of its greatest assets. It is ideal for family living.
Montealto
This is a very peaceful neighbourhood, just a five-minute walk from services and commercial areas such as bars, shops and restaurants. It also has a large park and is very close to the Tivoli amusement park. It has excellent transport connections, as the train station is only ten minutes away.
